Dear Prospective Merry Heart Children’s Camp Volunteer,
Welcome to Merry Heart Children’s Camp. Volunteering is the backbone of Merry Heart Children’s Camp. There are a few things more rewarding than helping a youth expand their boundaries and achieve things they never thought possible. Our volunteers play a large part in that process. We are excited to have you as part of the team to help youth with heart conditions.
Our goal is to provide a summer camp environment where youth are encouraged to make new friends, share experiences, and participate in sports and activities to the best of their abilities. The camp provides a safe and medically supervised camp program for youth with heart conditions from Oregon, Washington and Idaho.
The camp is a five-day, four-day camp and the dates for this year’s camp are August 18 to 22, 2019 (Sunday afternoon to Thursday morning). Volunteer staff will show up at 10:00 AM on Sunday and leave by 2 PM on Thursday. Volunteer Staff Training day, August 10, 2019, is mandatory for volunteer summer staff members.
